Wyn Masters races first eMTB World Championship

The UCI held the first ever eMTB World Champs at Mont St Anne, Canada. You may know that it was won by Alan Hatherly from South Africa on a Specialized Levo, who described it as one of the tougher races he had ridden. Think about it – the field is levelled by a 25kph speed limit, so the way to win is to ride hard at OVER the speed limit. Hopefully future eMTB races will continue to test the technical abilities of the riders.

Here is a video of Wyn Masters who raced in the silver fern. He faced all sorts of ridicule on Pinkbike etc but nicely repelled it with “All bikes are fun”.

And a Fox feature about the race also featuring Wyn
